Question: I've moved from Flight Simulator
2000 to Flight Simulator 2002. Can I use the Corporate Pilot
aircraft with FS2002?
Answer: Yes. We have released an update to
Corporate Pilot for FS2002. This update includes the following:
- Updates to the visual models
for Windows XP and Windows 2000 compatibility
- Changes to the flight model
to correct wheels and floats
- Remove the "flashing
gauge". We are unable to update the Flight Management Computer
for FS2002 and have removed it from the panels. The affected
panels have been revised.
- Updates to aircraft selection
windows - manufacturer is "Abacus Corporate Pilot"
Download the Corporate Pilot
FS2002 update: AbacusCP_FS2002.exe
(3MB) and carefully follow these two steps:
* Install the CD-ROM into FS2002
(using your original Corporate Pilot CD-ROM).
* Install the AbacusCP_FS2000.exe update for FS2002 (from above).
Step 1. Installing the Corporate Pilot CD-ROM
(FS2000 version) into FS2002
Follow these steps to install
the FS2000 version of Corporate Pilot into FS2002. When this
is complete, install the Corporate Pilot Update.
a. Insert the Corporate Pilot
CD-ROM and start the installation for Corporate Pilot
b. Continue to click Next> until you get to the Choose
Destination Location screen.

When you reach the screen Choose
Destination Location, click the Browse... button. Now double-click
the path to your FS2002's MAIN folder. This typically done by
double-clicking the following folders:
C:
Program Files
Microsoft Games
FS2002
Once the path is set to the
main FS2002 folder, click OK.

c. Proceed through the installation
by clicking Next on each screen.
d. On the last screen, click
Finish.
DO NOT view the "ReadMe File" (it
contains obsolete information).
Step 2. Now that the FS2000 version of Corporate
Pilot is installed to FS2002, you'll also have to run
the Corporate Pilot Update for FS2002.
This update automatically looks
for FS2002 in the Windows Registry. If the destination shown
does not point to your main FS2002 folder, you can adjust the
path as described above.
Once the installation is complete,
open FS2002 and take to the skies!
All aircraft will appear in
the FS2002's Select Aircraft menu with a manufacturer name: Abacus
Corporate Pilot.

Question: I'm using Corporate Pilot with FS2002.
When I start FS2002, the message "There is a 3rd party Dll
file... MDLFIX_WIN2k.DLL.... It may not be compatible" appears.
How can I get rid of this message?
Answer: The best solution is to search for
the file (MDLFIX_WIN2K.DLL) with the Start | Find or Start
| Search option. Once you find the file, you can simply delete
it.
Another method (recommend for
advanced users only) is to open the FS2002.CFG file and add the
following statements to it:
[OldModules]
mdlfix_win2k.dll=1
